Step-by-step Process
Determine What Needs Updating
Mobile number and email can only be updated at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra (requires biometric). Name, address, date of birth, and gender can be updated online via myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in.
Online Update: Visit myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in
Click "Update Aadhaar" > "Update Demographics Data & Check Status". Login with your Aadhaar number and OTP on your registered mobile.
Select the Field to Update
Choose Name, Address, Date of Birth, or Gender. Upload the supporting document (e.g., marriage certificate for name change, new utility bill for address).
Pay the Update Fee
Online demographic update costs ₹50. Pay via UPI, net banking, or debit/credit card. Keep the receipt.
Track Update Status
Note the Service Request Number (SRN). Track status at myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in > "Check Update Status". Updates typically take 5–10 working days.
